Youth Support Worker

Job Overview
We are looking for a part-time Youth Support Worker to join our friendly, supportive team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people, can build positive relationships, and wants to make a real difference in their wellbeing and development.

You’ll help run engaging youth club sessions (Wednesday evening essential; Tuesday and Thursday desirable), support young people through everyday challenges, and assist with a programme of activities that encourage creativity, confidence, teamwork and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and running of weekly youth sessions and activities
• Create a safe, inclusive, relaxed and positive environment
• Offer guidance and mentoring on topics such as mental health, friendships, education, employment, bullying and online safety
• Encourage young people to share ideas and take part in decisions about club activities
• Assist the Lead Youth Support Worker with safeguarding, health & safety and other BYP policies
• Attend supervision, team meetings and training as required

About You

We welcome applications from people with experience of working with children and young people, especially in youth work or similar settings.
You’ll need to be approachable, non-judgmental and able to communicate well with young people from all backgrounds.

Safeguarding knowledge, first aid, and youth work qualifications are desirable, but training is available for the right candidate.
