Youth Support Worker

4YPUK is looking for a confident and committed Lead Youth Worker to run two youth clubs in Great Denham and Brickhill and create engaging opportunities for young people aged 12–18. You’ll build trusted relationships, raise aspirations and help young people develop the confidence and skills to reach their potential.

What you’ll do

• Plan, lead and evaluate youth work sessions and programmes.
• Support young people’s wellbeing, learning, confidence and personal development.
• Ensure young people help shape the service and its activities.
• Work effectively with colleagues, volunteers, families and partner agencies.
• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, equality, confidentiality and quality standards.
• Complete feedback, evaluation, administration and reporting as required.

What we’re looking for

• Experience of working with vulnerable or disengaged young people.
• Strong communication, organisation, teamwork and IT skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships, manage challenging situations and motivate others.
• Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating individual and group work.
• A commitment to equality, reflective practice and professional development.
• Experience of partnership or multi-agency working.

A degree in Youth and Community Work is desirable. The role requires direct contact with children or vulnerable adults, so an enhanced DBS check is required. You must also be able to travel to project venues when needed.

Pay: £14.24-£17.79 per hour
