About Spizee

Spizee is one of YouTube's fastest-moving kids' entertainment channels, mixing food, ASMR, and real-life storytelling into a style all its own. Every video is part of a bigger story, with recurring characters, custom sets, and a lot of creative food. We shoot fast, publish often, and hold everything to a very high standard.

The Role

You'll be Spizee's right hand, in person, on a set weekly schedule. Your job is to take everything off his plate that isn't creating, so he can focus on being on camera and coming up with the next big idea. If something needs to be found, bought, built, scheduled, organized, or chased down, it's yours. The best person for this role notices what needs doing before anyone asks.

You'll work closely with our video editors and learn directly from experienced YouTube creators and strategists who have built some of the biggest channels on the platform. If you've never worked in YouTube before, this is a rare chance to see from the inside how a multi-million-subscriber channel actually runs, from idea to upload.

This is a contract role with real room to grow. As the channel scales, so can your responsibilities, hours, and role.

What You'll DoPre-production

• Break down each script into a prep list: food, props, costumes, set pieces, locations, and cast.
• Source and buy everything a shoot needs (often unusual, themed, or giant-sized food and items) and have it ready before cameras roll.
• Build shoot day schedules and coordinate logistics.
• Prep the studio: prop organization, green screen setup, lighting and camera ready to go.

On set

• Run the day so Spizee never has to stop creating to solve a problem.
• Track the script and shot list, and flag anything missed before the set is struck.
• Manage cast and characters between setups, including costume and prop continuity.
• Keep food, props, and the set reset between takes.

Post-shoot handoff

• Offload, back up, and organize footage (often hundreds of GB per video), labeled clearly by character and camera.
• Package the script, footage, and assets for the editing team, on time, every time.
• Coordinate directly with the video editors so they have everything they need.
• Keep the production board in Notion up to date, track deadlines, and keep communication moving between Spizee, editors, and managers.

Who You Are

• Genuinely curious about how a multi-million-subscriber YouTube channel operates behind the scenes, and excited to learn it firsthand.
• Extremely organized and proactive. You fix problems before they reach anyone else.
• Calm and fast under tight deadlines. The channel moves quickly and so do you.
• A strong communicator who over-shares status instead of going quiet.
• Resourceful: you can find almost anything, fast, on a budget.
• Comfortable on a set and around cameras; basic knowledge of cameras, lighting, and green screen is a big plus.
• Good with files and tools: Google Drive, Notion, and handling large media files.
• Able to work in person in Magnolia, TX on a consistent weekly schedule.
• Has a reliable car and a valid driver's license (required, since errands and sourcing are a big part of the job).

Bonus Points

• Production experience on YouTube, kids', or online video content.
• Ambitious and eager to learn what makes YouTube different from traditional media.
