Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Zonal Manager – Operations to oversee and develop courier and logistics operations across North & East India.

This position is based in Chennai (MAA) and requires extensive travel across North & East India for branch visits, operational reviews, team management and regional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee operations across multiple branches and stations across North & East India.
• Monitor pickup, inbound, outbound, dispatch and delivery operations.
• Ensure timely shipment movement and delivery as per defined TAT.
• Monitor branch performance, productivity and operational efficiency.
• Implement company SOPs, policies and operational standards.
• Guide and monitor Branch Managers, Operations Managers and branch teams.
• Conduct regular branch visits, operational reviews and audits.
• Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Resolve operational issues and customer escalations.
• Monitor manpower requirements and team productivity.
• Coordinate with Sales, Accounts, HR/Admin and other departments.
• Prepare and review regional operational performance reports.
• Support management in strengthening and developing the North & East India network.

Requirements

• Courier / Logistics / Express Delivery experience is mandatory.
• Hindi speaking ability is mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in courier/logistics operations.
• Experience managing multiple branches, stations or a geographical region.
• Strong knowledge of courier operations, distribution and last-mile delivery.
• Proven experience in team management and operational leadership.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage teams across multiple locations.
• Willingness to travel extensively across North & East India is mandatory.
• Graduate/MBA preferred.
