We are seeking an experienced z/OS Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in IBM Mainframe technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in application development, enhancement, and support on IBM z/OS platforms, with proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and mainframe utilities. The candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to deliver reliable and scalable enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications on IBM z/OS environments.
• Develop and support programs using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and production deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
• Develop batch and online processing solutions in a high-volume transaction environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, architects, and support teams.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning activities.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and best practices.
• Support Agile/Scrum delivery processes and participate in sprint activities.
  Required Skills
• 5+ years of experience in IBM Mainframe/zOS application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  o COBOL
  o JCL
  o CICS
  o DB2
  o VSAM
  o TSO/ISPF
• Experience with mainframe debugging and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of batch processing and online transaction systems.
• Experience in production support and incident management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  Preferred Skills
• Experience with IBM MQ, Connect:Direct, FTP/SFTP, or file transfer solutions.
• Exposure to z/OS Connect, REST APIs, and mainframe modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of Endevor, Changeman, or other source control tools.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices for mainframe environments.
• Exposure to cloud integration and hybrid architecture solutions.
