About the Role:

Anchor Software LLC is looking for a talented Mainframe (MF) Developer to join our growing team in Plano, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical systems in a collaborative and innovative environment. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications and systems
• Write, test, and debug COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe-based code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
• Analyze and resolve mainframe system issues and performance bottlenecks
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
• Support mainframe batch processing, job scheduling, and automation
• Document technical specifications, processes, and system changes

Requirements:

• Proven experience in mainframe development (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, or similar)
• Strong understanding of z/OS or IBM mainframe environments
• Experience with mainframe debugging tools such as XPEDITER or File-AID
• Familiarity with batch processing, VSAM, and data management techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
