Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Zumba Instructor to lead engaging dance fitness classes at our health club. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in group fitness, dancing, and various exercise modalities, with the ability to motivate participants of all skill levels. This role offers an exciting opportunity to promote health and wellness through dynamic, fun-filled classes that combine music and movement. The Zumba Instructor will be responsible for designing and delivering effective workout sessions that enhance cardiovascular health, coordination, and overall fitness.

Responsibilities

• Lead lively Zumba dance classes that incorporate elements of fitness styles such as Pilates, Yoga, CrossFit, Cycling, and Body Mechanics to create diverse and effective workouts
• Develop creative program routines that cater to different fitness levels and age groups
• Motivate participants to achieve their fitness goals while maintaining a safe workout environment
• Demonstrate proper exercise techniques, emphasizing physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and proper body mechanics
• Incorporate skills from related disciplines such as sports coaching, personal training, and gym-based group fitness to enhance class effectiveness
• Promote a positive community atmosphere that encourages member engagement and retention
• Assist in promoting upcoming classes and fitness programs through social media or in-club marketing efforts
• Ensure all classes adhere to safety standards and promote injury prevention strategies

Requirements

• Proven experience in teaching group fitness classes with a focus on dance-based workouts like Zumba or similar programs
• Strong background in dancing, with additional skills in Pilates, Yoga, Cycling, or CrossFit considered a plus
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics to ensure safe and effective instruction
• Ability to design engaging program routines tailored to diverse participant needs
• Excellent teaching skills with the ability to motivate and energize class attendees
• Certification in group fitness instruction or personal training preferred; relevant certifications in dance or sports coaching are advantageous
• Experience in fitness sales or promoting fitness programs is a plus
• Passion for health & wellness with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends if required
