Zumba or Yoga Instructor - YMCA

Lead the Studio

Bring energy and calm to the studio as a part-time Zumba or Yoga Instructor at the Spring Grove YMCA (1472 Roths Church Rd, Spring Grove, PA). This role exists to deliver safe, high-impact group classes that help members move better, feel stronger, and stay motivated—every session.

Key responsibilities

• Teach engaging Zumba and/or Yoga classes with clear coaching and strong participant connection
• Offer exercise options and modifications for all fitness levels
• Follow YMCA policies, emergency procedures, and incident reporting expectations
• Set up the space, manage equipment, and maintain accurate attendance records
• Stay current on fitness and wellness trends and support a positive class experience

Required qualifications

• CPR PRO/AED/First Aid certification
• 1–2 years of group exercise instruction experience (Zumba or Yoga)
• Zumba and/or Yoga certification (ACE, AFAA, RYT-200, or equivalent)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Your Class-Day Flow

You arrive onsite and the building already feels alive. You check in, scan the studio, and get the music or playlist energy just right. Members roll in with different goals: some want a sweat-soaked Zumba rush, others want a steady Yoga reset. Between greetings and quick conversations, you help the room feel welcoming and focused. After class, you wrap up, tidy the space, and head out knowing you helped someone’s day shift—from busy to better.
