Zund Operator

Job Summary (First and Second Shift)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Zund Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating Zund cutting tables to produce precise and high-quality signage, packaging, and display materials. Your expertise in graphic design, print production, and machine operation will ensure that each project meets our stringent quality standards. Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Zund cutting tables with precision, ensuring accurate cuts according to production specifications.
• Interpret production documents, including layouts and design files created with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Manage color accuracy and consistency through effective color management techniques during the cutting process.
• Perform routine maintenance and mechanical adjustments on Zund machines to optimize performance and prevent downtime.
• Collaborate with the prepress team to prepare files for printing and cutting, ensuring compatibility with large-format printers and flexo presses.
• Conduct quality control checks on finished products, verifying cut accuracy, edge quality, and overall finish.
• Assist with other manufacturing tasks such as paper binding, screen printing, or machining as needed to support production goals.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of machine operation for large-format printers, Zund cutting tables, and other industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and prepress software for layout design and print preparation.
• Excellent understanding of color management principles to ensure visual consistency across projects.
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and adjusting machinery during production runs.
• Experience with print advertising materials, typography, layout design, and digital printing techniques.
• Ability to interpret complex production documents accurately and efficiently.
• Knowledge of quality control standards within a manufacturing environment to maintain high standards of finished products.

Hours

First Shift - 6 :00am to 2 30 pm.
Second Shift - 2:30 pm 11:00 pm.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
