Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop plastic and sheet metal components for home appliances using CREO.
• Create and modify 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Apply GD&T principles and ensure designs meet functional and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop components considering DFM/DFA, manufacturing feasibility, tooling requirements, and assembly constraints.
• Perform design modifications based on engineering requirements, customer inputs, and manufacturing feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, tooling, quality, and product engineering.
• Ensure proper tolerancing, detailing, material selection, and component integration.
• Review designs for manufacturability and identify opportunities for cost, quality, and design improvements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: 23 years in mechanical/product design.
• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, CIPET, or DME.
• Hands-on experience in CREO is mandatory.
• Experience in home appliances product design will be preferred.
• Strong experience in plastic and sheet metal component design.
• Good knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.
• Good knowledge of 3D modeling, assemblies, detailing, and 2D drawing creation.
• Candidates willing to work onsite in Goa will be preferred.
