Request Temporary Contractor – AI Engineer & Agentic Developer

Description and tasks

The mission is for a hands-on AI Engineer with strong expertise in AIOps/MLOps and agentic development. The role focuses on building production-ready AI solutions that are scalable, secure and compliant, while taking the technical lead on agent architectures.

Key responsibilities

AIOps/MLOps
• Coach Data Scientists to move models from experiment to production-grade, including packaging, reproducibility and CI/CD
• Design and build data and inference pipelines
• Implement MLOps best practices, including containers, model registry, experiment tracking and rollback
• Set up observability covering logs, metrics, traces, drift and SLOs
• Work according to compliance-by-design together with security, risk and compliance, including EU AI Act considerations

Agentic development
• Act as technical lead for agentic solutions using Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio
• Build integrations with internal systems via function calling, RAG and orchestration
• Set up evaluation frameworks including test suites, red teaming and versioning
• Implement orchestration patterns such as planning, retries and fallbacks
• Ensure selective autonomy and human-in-the-loop

Engineering and collaboration
• Work in an agile team and manage the technical backlog
• Create technical documentation and runbooks
• Collaborate with partners, challenge designs and ensure integration into the target architecture

Profile and experience

Profile
• Hands-on AI/MLOps engineer with strong Python skills and experience in production-grade AI
• Combines deep engineering expertise with innovation and coaching
• Experience in agentic development and orchestration
• Pragmatic, takes ownership and is results driven
• Deep knowledge of AIOps/MLOps tooling: Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Docker and IaC with Terraform
• Knowledge of Azure ML, Azure OpenAI / AI Foundry and Azure AI Search
• Understanding of security and governance principles including RBAC, secrets, network segmentation and privacy
• Fluent Dutch and English

Required experience
• Master’s degree in CS, AI, Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3–5+ years of experience as an AI, ML or MLOps engineer
• Experience with agentic frameworks, function calling and RAG
