Cloud Network NetDevOps Engineer

Contexte

As part of AXA's strategy to become a tech-led organization and advance our Digital Transformation journey through the “One Network” initiative, Network Global Products are adopting a more simplified, flexible, scalable, and business-oriented approach. This transformation involves consolidating multiple network infrastructures into a single, resilient, efficient, and automated network that can be centrally managed, providing a seamless experience across geographies.

While supporting the strategic migration of applications to the cloud, this evolution enhances AXA's ability to respond swiftly to market dynamics, ensuring high service quality, operational efficiency, and a robust security posture. Concurrently, AXA will maintain its existing on-premises legacy data center infrastructure, focusing on reducing technical debt and transforming its core IT footprint.

Within this context, our Data Center and Cloud Network engineers are instrumental in designing, engineering, delivering, and supporting products and services that significantly contribute to the success of the One Network program.

Our Cloud Network engineers play a key role in supporting AXA’s “Move to the Cloud” strategy

Missions

·         Design, deploy, and maintain Azure and AWS virtual networks, based on Hub & Spoke architecture

·         Troubleshoot and support Azure virtual private network to ensure high application performance and availability

·         Develop documentation for low-level designs, configurations, migration plans, and operational procedures

·         Collaborate with teams to gather requirements, support projects, and ensure security and scalability

·         Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and resilience strategies

·         Implement upgrade and patching roadmaps and disaster recovery plans

·         Support team knowledge sharing and documentation updates

·         As a Cloud Network Expert, play a pivotal role in ensuring the security posture of public cloud network environments. You will collaborate with clients to design, implement, and optimize secure network architectures tailored to their unique needs

·         Ensure reliable, secure operation of AXA’s Azure virtual network infrastructure

·         Lead migration projects with minimal service impact, supporting digital transformation ambitions

·         Enable rapid incident response and troubleshooting during migration and day-to-day operations

·         Promote continuous improvement through documentation, knowledge sharing, and best practices

·         Support scalability and resilience of public cloud network infrastructure for future growth

Profil recherché

Functional experience:   

·         Fluent in English with strong professional communication skills (verbal and written)

·         Significant experience leading large architecture projects, standardization, and transformation initiatives

·         Deep expertise in network and cloud design patterns and IT infrastructure best practices.

·         Strong understanding of current network and infrastructure challenges and trends at both the infrastructure and technical levels.

·         Demonstrates a commitment to high-quality deliverables and the ability to operate under tight timelines

·         Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders.

·         Proficient in technical documentation (Confluence), and documentation governance

·         Design and implement robust network solutions leveraging Azure and AWS native tools and third-party integrations, with emphasis on security and reliability.

·         Develop and enforce network design templates, and best practices aligned with industry standards and compliance requirements.

Skills and Experience (List all relevant qualifications & length of post-qualification experience, or in-the-job experience, that is necessary):

·         University degree (engineering) with +10 years experience in matrix organization,

·         Deep expertise in IP routing protocols, with a focus on BGP

·         Proven experience deploying Azure and AWS network architectures, including VWAN, Express Route, NVA, VNET, and AWS Transit Gateways, VPC, Direct Connect

·         Devops environments : Terraform Enterprise, GitHub

·         Creation of Terraform modules

·         Develop Python scripts

·         Usage and development of REST API

·         Additional competencies: Knowledge of Cloud network security concepts, Serverless functions, cloud monitoring

·         Valuable certifications: Microsoft certifications (AZ-700 and related Azure networking), AWS Advanced Networking, Traditional Network (Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE…), Network Security (CISSP, Palo Alto, …)
