Compliance Director

Role Description The Compliance Director at DAF - Direction des affaires financières will oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of compliance frameworks to ensure adherence to applicable financial, legal, and regulatory requirements. This part-time, remote role involves developing and updating compliance policies, guiding internal teams on regulatory obligations, and conducting regular risk assessments and compliance reviews. The Compliance Director will collaborate with finance and legal stakeholders to address compliance issues, prepare reports for senior leadership, and recommend corrective actions where needed. The role also includes staying current with regulatory changes, providing training and awareness sessions, and supporting audits and inspections to maintain a robust control environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance, with the ability to design and maintain effective compliance programs.
• Strong Legal Compliance and Finance knowledge to interpret regulations and assess their impact on financial operations.
• Advanced Analytical Skills to evaluate risk, review data, and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations.
• Proven experience in a senior compliance, legal, or risk management role, preferably within financial or public-sector environments.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex regulatory requirements to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
• Experience with audit processes, internal controls, and policy development; professional certifications in compliance or risk (e.g., CCEP, CRCM) are an asset.
