Freelance Opportunity – Data Engineer (KPI Reporting & Automation)

📍 Client: Confidential – Leading fragrance and retail group in the GCC

🌍 Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Hybrid – on-site kickoff)

📋 Project Scope:

Design and implement automated KPI reporting pipelines across HR and Marketing functions. The role focuses on building reliable end-to-end data flows, enabling accurate management reporting, and supporting UAT prior to deployment. Reporting directly to the Director of Data & AI.

✅ Ideal Candidate:

•⁠ ⁠4–6 years of experience in data engineering roles

•⁠ ⁠Strong experience building data pipelines and automated reporting solutions

•⁠ ⁠Hands-on expertise with APIs (Meta, TikTok, Snapchat or similar marketing platforms)

•⁠ ⁠Experience with Microsoft Fabric, data modelling, and medallion architecture (Bronze–Silver–Gold)

•⁠ ⁠Ability to reliably ingest, synchronize, and transform source data into curated layers

•⁠ ⁠Experience coding KPI reporting pipelines from raw ingestion to executive dashboards

•⁠ ⁠Strong stakeholder management skills (cross-functional work with HR and Marketing teams)

•⁠ ⁠Arabic not mandatory - nice to have

🕒 Engagement Details:

•⁠ ⁠Start Date: ASAP

•⁠ ⁠Duration: 6–8 weeks

•⁠ ⁠Phasing: ~4 weeks pre-UAT build + ~2 weeks UAT support

•⁠ ⁠Reporting Line: Director of Data & AI

•⁠ ⁠Consultant Compensation: Please provide day rate
