Clearance: Active Secret required on day one

Employment Type: Full-time, Key Personnel (2 positions)

Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience

Status: Contingent upon contract award; anticipated start January 2027 (base year plus option periods)

POSITION OVERVIEW

Kinetic Concepts is seeking experienced special operations instructors to serve as full-time Direct Action High Risk Training Instructors at the MARSOC Marine Raider Training Center. DAHRTIs augment the Government SOTC-2 instructor cadre and are capable of instructing and supervising all aspects of Direct Action in the Marine Raider Course Phase II, the MARSOF Master Assaulter Course, and the MARSOC SOF Fundamentals Course, producing qualified Raiders and enablers for the Marine Raider Battalions and Marine Raider Support Battalions. DAHRTIs report to Kinetic's On-Site Lead.

This position is contingent upon contract award. Kinetic Concepts is building a qualified candidate pool now so that fully qualified instructors are in place on day one of performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Instruct and supervise all aspects of Direct Action in the Marine Raider Course (MRC) Phase II, the MARSOF Master Assaulter Course (MMAC), and the MARSOC SOF Fundamentals Course.
  • Deliver Program of Instruction (POI) blocks in Combat Marksmanship (CMS), Close Quarters Battle (CQB), and Dynamic Entry / Breaching Methods (explosive, ballistic, thermal, and mechanical).
  • Augment the Government SOTC-2 instructor cadre and stay current on MARSOC Direct Action Techniques, Tactics, and Procedures (TTPs).
  • Develop safety SOPs and plan safe, realistic schemes of maneuver for live-fire ranges and shoot houses.
  • Prepare classrooms and ranges, and account for expendables and CMR items before and after each course.
  • Assist in POI development and maintain course Master Lesson Files; prepare lesson materials that are clear, concise, and error-free.
  • Contribute to After Action Reports (AARs) after each course or exercise with recommendations to improve training effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Perform administrative duties including presentations and email correspondence with military and civilian personnel.
  • Move by land, sea, or air (military or commercial fixed/rotary-wing aircraft, watercraft, ground transport) in support of training.
  • Maintain professional currency and the skills required to sustain technical expertise.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of total documented experience in special operations fields.
  • Minimum 8 years of documented military service, including at least 5 years in USSOCOM.

Training and Certifications

  • Graduate of the MARSOF Instructor Qualification Course (MIQC), or a Service-equivalent instructor qualification accepted by the Government. MIQC graduation is preferred; an instructor hired on an equivalent qualification must attend and complete the three-week MIQC before being considered fully qualified.
  • Graduate of a U.S. Armed Forces Special Operations CQB course.
  • Graduate of a U.S. Armed Forces Special Operations Breachers Course.
  • Certified Range Safety Officer (RSO) and Laser Range Safety Officer (LRSO).

Skills and Proficiencies

  • Proficient in modern instructional methods for both classroom and live-fire range environments.

  • Proficient in all aspects of live-fire shoot house safety operations and in applying Marine Corps Orders and unit SOPs related to range safety.
  • Proficient in Deliberate and Time-Critical Risk Management.
  • Capable of passing current MARSOC weapons qualifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Special Operations Combatives Course, Level 1 or Level 2.
  • Prior instructor experience at MRTC, SOTC-2, or another formal SOF CQB/Direct Action course.

  • Grooming must not interfere with proper wear of MARSOC-approved PPE. Contractor attire identifying Kinetic Concepts personnel is worn on site (provided by Kinetic Concepts).
