Context and purpose of the mission

The mission is part of an IT environment and focuses on end-to-end solution design for cross-domain initiatives. The role acts as the technical architecture reference for projects involving multiple domains and ensures that high-level solutions comply with domain architecture guidelines and enterprise standards. The objective is to understand and challenge business needs, validate end-to-end solutions across components, and ensure a smooth hand-over to delivery teams through detailed documentation.

Main responsibilities

Project / Program Design
• Interact with business requestors to understand and challenge needs
• Act as the technical architecture reference for cross-domain projects
• Define high-level technical solutions in line with architecture guidelines and enterprise standards
• Validate end-to-end solutions across components
• Ensure effective hand-over of initiatives to delivery teams with detailed documentation
• Define high-level solutions for projects impacting multiple components
• Challenge business needs to optimize design and delivery
• Create EPICs to ensure design quality, testability, and business value
• Identify integration points and define appropriate integration patterns
• Lead the technical core team
• Coordinate component design to ensure overall coherence
• Present solutions to the Design Authority Board and business stakeholders
• Create architectural artifacts to support understanding of transversal projects
• Lead hot-housing sessions with components and ensure effective transition to delivery teams
• Provide test support

People management
• No direct reports
• Coordination with project teams and technical specialists during solution design phases

• Mission duration: minimum 6 months, renewable

Profile required

Education and experience
• University degree or equivalent higher education
• Minimum 3 years of experience in solution architecture, with a focus on end-to-end solution design
• Understanding of functional and non-functional architecture principles

Technical skills
• Strong knowledge of solution architecture
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, TMF, and ODA is advantageous
• Knowledge of ArchiMate and TMF APIs is a plus

Interpersonal skills
• Ability to explain complex technical matters clearly to diverse audiences
• Strong business acumen with the capacity to challenge and optimize solutions
• Assertiveness and proactive communication
• Fluency in English & French
