Le Lycée Français International (LFI) de Hong Kong a été fondé en 1963. Il offre deux filières distinctes de la Petite Section / Nursery à la Terminale / Y13. La Filière Française, homologuée par l’AEFE, prépare les élèves à l’obtention du Baccalauréat français. La Filière Internationale suit le International Primary Curriculum (IPC) et le English National Curriculum qui incluent les diplômes de l’IGCSE et l’IB Diploma Programme. En 1988, le LFI est devenu la première école internationale autorisée à délivrer le programme IB à Hong Kong. 

Aujourd’hui le LFI est une des plus grandes écoles internationales de Hong Kong et accueille plus de 3,000 élèves, 55% en filière française et 45% en filière internationale, rassemblant plus de 50 nationalités différentes.

About the French International School

Established in 1963, the French International School (FIS) is the oldest international school in Hong Kong and was the first school in Hong Kong to offer the IB (in 1988). It is a dynamic educational institution, which welcomes over 3,000 students from around the world. It offers both French and international curricula and is one of the largest French schools in Asia.

FIS currently operates four campuses, all of which accommodates students from both streams. Regarding the three primary schools, one is surrounded by greenery in Jardine’s Lookout and another campus is by the sea in Tseung Kwan O and the third is a beautiful campus in Chai Wan

FIS is a private, not-for-profit organization. In the last five decades, it has grown from a small school with 35 students to one of the most renowned international schools in the region. Its students are from 50 countries speaking some 30 languages – it is a truly multicultural learning environment.

FIS operates two streams, French and International. The French Stream follows the French national curriculum and has approximately 1700 students. The International Stream follows an English and Mathematics curriculum based on the English national curriculum and also the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC)  and International Primary Curriculum (IPC) leading to the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) in years 7 and 8, then to IGCSE and finally the International Baccalaureate in Years 12 and 13. It currently has over 1000 students registered. In 2020/21 the international stream successfully went through the IEYC/IPC Accreditation process.

As part of a team of Educational Assistants reporting to the CPE/Dean, the Head of Y7 and Campus Coordinator, you will be part of the team of pastoral supervisors and monitors of our Y7 students in our International stream at our Jardine’s Lookout Campus.

General duties and activities:

●    Welcoming students on arrival – Seeing students off at the end of the day

●   Supervising students during breaks, between lessons, lunch break (including play areas and the school canteen) and study periods

●   Monitoring lateness and absences

●   Providing educational support to students, helping them to settle in, liaising with families

●   Educational activities offering in-class support

●    Ensuring students adhere to the school rules

●    Administrative tasks that support The Head of Year

●    Supervising examinations, preparing examination rooms

●    Taking part in school trips

●    Specialised roles and activities (specific tasks may be assigned depending on the profile and skills of the individual)

●    Sustainable development projects

●    Project monitoring - Helping students in project-based learning classes

●    Supporting and facilitating in student councils:

●   Pastoral supervision if needed

Requirements

● Good command of Chinese/English, both spoken and written, are essential

● Proficiency in office software and the internet

● Experience in leading or supporting teenagers would be an advantage

● Energetic, thorough and caring

● Holder of a ‘Dependant visa’ or permanent residence in Hong Kong
