Job Summary Fiche de poste : This position provides input and support for full systems life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.). He/She performs tasks within planned durations and established deadlines. This position collaborates with teams to ensure effective communication and support the achievement of objectives. He/She provides knowledge, development, maintenance, and support for applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using COBOL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, SAS, JCL, PL/1
• Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and project managers in an SAFe Agile environment to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications to improve performance, security, and functionality.
• Develop and execute unit tests, integrate solutions, and provide detailed documentation.
• Ensure the highest quality of code and contribute to the overall improvement of the development process.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, methodologies, and industry trends related to mainframe development.

Mandatory Skills And Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe application development.
• 3+ years of practical experience in COBOL programming.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL programming and related tools.
• Solid experience with DB2 (database design, queries, and optimization).
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with JCL (Job Control Language).
• In-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with stakeholders and team members effectively.
• Experience working in a corporate banking or financial services environment is a plus.

Additional Skills

• Familiarity with version control and issue tracking tools (e., Git, Jira).
• Knowledge of AzureDevOps/TFS
• Knowledge of SAFe Agile
• Knowledge of API TESTING, POSTMAN
• Familiarity with Linux, Google Cloud --> Pub/Sub or Any messaging Queues.

• Bachelor’s Degree or International equivalent
