.NET Developer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our Process Automation team within the Digital Transformation Directorate. This role is crucial in supporting the digitalization of industrial operations. You will work on the development, maintenance, and reliability of critical Process Information (IT) applications that support key business functions such as manufacturing, quality, and maintenance.

This is a hands-on technical position requiring you to ensure the performance, stability, and evolution of our application portfolio. You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle, from analyzing business needs to delivering robust solutions and ensuring service continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Development & Analysis: Analyze and develop solutions for application evolution requests, working across various development environments.

• Maintenance & Reliability: Provide ongoing maintenance and performance optimization for existing applications to ensure high availability and reliability.

• Project Delivery: Contribute to transformation and sustainability projects, delivering applications on time and to a high standard of quality.

• Documentation & Training: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and provide training as required for new solutions.

• On-Call Support (Mandatory): Participate in a 1-in-5 rotating on-call schedule (including nights and weekends) to ensure 24/7 service continuity for production lines in case of application malfunctions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Designer/Developer or Technical Support Engineer in a similar role.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Strong proficiency in the .NET ecosystem (.NET Framework 4.x & Core), C#, and WPF (MVVM pattern).

  • Experience with Angular for front-end development.

  • Solid knowledge of SQL Server.

  • Proficiency with Visual Studio (2017/2022) and version control systems (TFS/Azure DevOps).

• Soft Skills: Excellent team spirit, strong communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in taking over and maintaining legacy applications.

• Self-starter with the ability to manage tasks independently from start to finish.

• Proven ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders (MOA).

• Understanding of both client-server and web application architectures.

Advantageous Experience

• Previous experience working within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of real-time communication frameworks (SignalR, RabbitMQ).

• Relationships: You will report to the Process Automation Operational Manager and work closely with the Digital Transformation team.
