Context

The assignment supports the people and organisation dimensions of an IT transformation. It works alongside the Enterprise People Partner for IT and senior IT leadership to shape and execute transformation workstreams.

Mission

Provide hands-on transformation execution and Organisation Design expertise, translating strategic ambitions into clear organisational choices, leadership decisions and practical implementation from initial design through implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Shape, structure and drive the people and organisation aspects of the IT transformation, translating ambitions into concrete decisions, actions and implementation plans.

• Design and refine IT operating model options, then translate them into an organisation design covering accountabilities, layers, spans, interfaces, decision rights and ways of working.

• Translate agreed designs into practical implications for roles, capabilities, skill development, governance and transition.

• Identify dependencies and organisational implications across transformation workstreams and help ensure coherence.

• Collaborate in senior leadership workshops and help move complex topics towards decisions and tangible outcomes.

• Act as a trusted partner to the Enterprise People Partner and senior IT stakeholders, bringing an external perspective and constructive challenge.

Profile

Experience

• Strong track record in large-scale business and/or technology transformation, with demonstrated execution experience.

• Deep Organisation Design expertise from design through implementation.

• Experience translating transformation strategy into practical organisational change.

• Strong experience working with and facilitating senior leadership teams.

Technical skills

• Transformation execution and implementation.

• Organisation Design and IT operating model design.

• Translation of strategy into organisational change, including roles, capabilities, governance and transition.

Soft skills

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.

• Pragmatic and hands-on, able to move from analysis to action.

• Collaborative, constructively challenging and credible with senior leaders.

• Outcome-focused, avoiding unnecessary process or methodology.
