Procurement Expert – Non-IT Categories, Brussels, Belgium

Context

Our client, a leading organization in the banking sector, is seeking an experienced Procurement Expert to strengthen its procurement team within a dynamic and transforming environment.

This assignment is part of a temporary coverage (maternity leave) and aims to ensure business continuity while supporting an increased workload and ongoing procurement transformation initiatives, including the deployment of new tools and processes.

The position offers exposure to a fast-paced environment with strong stakeholder interaction and strategic impact across multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Procurement Expert, you will be responsible for both operational excellence and strategic sourcing activities across non-IT categories.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Leading strategic sourcing initiatives across categories such as Professional Services, Marketing, HR, Operations, and Facility Management

• Managing end-to-end RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ)

• Negotiating contracts, framework agreements, and SLAs

• Optimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while ensuring quality and risk mitigation

• Acting as a business partner to internal stakeholders

• Ensuring contract compliance and effective contract management

• Monitoring supplier performance and driving continuous improvement

• Supporting the implementation and adoption of new procurement tools

• Contributing to change management initiatives

Profile

Experience

• 3 to 6 years of experience in procurement

• Proven experience in non-IT categories (Professional Services, HR, Marketing, Facility Management)

• Experience in consulting environments is a strong asset

Skills

• Strong negotiation and influencing skills

• Solid expertise in procurement processes and contract management

• Experience with RFx methodologies

• Good understanding of risk management in procurement

• Proficiency with Excel and procurement tools

Soft Skills

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Action-oriented with a delivery focus

Languages

• Fluent English
