Senior Pega Developer / Pega Technical Lead

Role & responsibilities

Pega Development & Architecture

• Design, develop and implement scalable enterprise applications using Pega PRPC.
• Translate business requirements into robust Pega technical solutions.
• Design and implement Case Management and Case Architecture solutions.
• Develop and maintain Pega workflows, case types, activities, decision rules, integrations and reusable components.
• Follow Pega best practices, application architecture standards and governance guidelines.
• Participate in technical design and architecture discussions.

Integration & API Development

• Design and implement integrations between Pega and external enterprise systems.
• Develop and consume REST APIs and web services.
• Work with JSON, XML and HTTP-based integrations.
• Troubleshoot integration failures and resolve data/interface issues.
• Ensure integrations are scalable, secure and reliable.

Data & Application Development

• Design and implement Data Pages, Data Objects and Data Models.
• Develop reusable data access and integration components.
• Optimize application performance and data retrieval.
• Ensure appropriate application and data architecture standards are followed.

Debugging & Performance

• Use Pega Tracer, Clipboard, PAL and other Pega tools for debugging and performance analysis.
• Identify and resolve application defects and production issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Monitor and optimize application performance.

Ruleset & Governance

• Manage Rulesets, Ruleset Versions, branching and application packaging.
• Follow Pega development standards, governance and code quality practices.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure technical standards are maintained.
• Support application versioning, deployment and release processes.

DevOps & Production Support

• Participate in CI/CD and automated deployment processes.
• Work with DevOps teams on build, deployment and release activities.
• Support application deployments across development, testing and production environments.
• Troubleshoot critical production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level Pega developers.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, DevOps teams and other technology stakeholders.
• Review technical designs and development deliverables.
• Contribute to estimation, technical planning and solution design.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and business audiences.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have:

• 58 years of hands-on Pega development experience.
• Strong expertise in Pega PRPC.
• CSSA certification is mandatory.
• Strong experience in Case Management and Case Architecture.
• Proven experience developing and integrating enterprise Pega applications.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML and HTTP.
• Hands-on experience with Pega integrations and external system connectivity.
• Strong understanding of Data Pages and Pega data modeling.
• Excellent debugging skills using Tracer, Clipboard and PAL.
• Good understanding of Ruleset Strategy, branching, versioning and Pega governance.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps is strongly preferred.
• Strong production troubleshooting and performance optimization experience.
• Ability to work independently as a senior technical contributor and guide other developers.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services or other regulated enterprise environments is preferred.
