For one of our clients based in Liège, we are actively looking for a Senior Test Engineer (Freelance) to join a strategic and long-term project.

❗ Please note: ISTQB certification is mandatory for this position. Applications without a valid ISTQB certification will not be considered.

🎯 Your Role

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of a business-critical application before its delivery to end users.

Working closely with the development team and the Test Manager, you will be responsible for defining and executing the testing strategy while ensuring the highest quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

✅ Define and maintain the overall test strategy and test plan
✅ Design, prepare and execute test scenarios and test cases
✅ Validate new functionalities and business requirements
✅ Identify, document and track defects through resolution
✅ Ensure application readiness for production releases
✅ Collaborate closely with developers, stakeholders and the Test Manager
✅ Participate in regular coordination and quality governance meetings
✅ Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and quality standards

🎓 Required Skills & Experience

🔹 ISTQB Certification (Mandatory)
🔹 Minimum 5 years of experience as a Test Engineer / QA Engineer
🔹 Strong expertise in test strategy, test execution and defect management
🔹 Experience working within Agile development environments
🔹 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
🔹 Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with multiple stakeholders
🔹 Fluent French is mandatory
