Design Assistant Engineer

About the role

Design and develop CNC fixtures, jigs, and tooling based on manufacturing requirements. Create 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software, and develop optimized CNC machining processes to improve productivity and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design CNC fixtures, jigs, tooling based on manufacturing requirements
• Create 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software
• Develop and optimize CNC machining processes to improve productivity and product quality
• Generate and maintain engineering drawings, and technical documentation
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Tooling, and Maintenance teams to resolve technical issues
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by designing manufacturing solutions
• Participate in continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives

About you

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Design Engineer, CNC Engineer, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Siemens NX, or similar
• Familiar with CAM software and CNC machining processes (Milling, Turning, or Multi-axis machining)
• Knowledge of Standard GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance), engineering drawings, and machining tolerances
• Solid understanding of materials (such as metals, plastics, or composites) and their manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, Die casting, CNC machining)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
• Able to communicate in English, Mandarin proficiency is an advantage
