What they need
- Design CI / SG Iron castings, patterns and core boxes as per customer drawings.
- Prepare 3D models and 2D drawings using 3D CAD software and AutoCAD.
- Develop pattern design considering shrinkage, machining allowance, draft and core requirements.
- Perform casting simulation for filling, solidification and defect prediction.
- Optimize gating and risering systems to improve casting quality and yield.
- Coordinate with Customer, Pattern, Foundry, Production and Quality teams.
- Modify designs based on casting trials, simulation results and quality feedback.
- Prepare and maintain design drawings, BOM, technical documents and revisions.
- Support new product development and pattern/tooling development.
- Identify design-related casting defects and implement design improvements and corrective actions.
