GCP Data Architect

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to help define and design the end-to-end data architecture for an insurance client. The Data Architect will work closely with Chief Data Architect, and client stakeholders to define the overall architecture, data structures, ingestion patterns, integration approach, and downstream data consumption strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data solutions using GCP services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using GCS, BigQuery Load Jobs, Datastream/CDC, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.
• Develop data models in BigQuery, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and processing.
• Use Python for data processing, automation, and pipeline development.
• Ensure data solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with enterprise data architecture standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 14+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related roles.
• Strong experience designing enterprise data architectures and integration solutions.
• Strong experience with GCP services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer.
• Experience designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines using Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery Load Jobs, and Datastream/Change Data Capture (CDC).
• Hands-on experience with real-time and streaming data pipelines using Pub/Sub and Cloud Dataflow.
• Strong experience developing data models in BigQuery, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault.
• Strong proficiency in advanced SQL and Python.
• Experience designing scalable data architectures and data pipelines for enterprise data environments.
