Mining Operators - TSF - Pilbara - 2:1

HSS Recruitment is seeking experienced Mining Operators to join a major Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) construction project.

These are long-term opportunities working across TSF embankment construction, lift raising, material haulage and engineered fill placement in a large-scale mining environment.

We are looking for experienced operators across the following equipment:

Current Vacancies

• Hitachi EX3600 & EX5600 Excavator Operators – $75/hr
• CAT D11T Dozer Operators – $65/hr
• Komatsu 830E Haul Truck Operators
• CAT 793 Haul Truck Operators
• CAT 785 Water Cart Operators

About the Role

Working as part of the TSF construction team, you will be involved in the movement and placement of engineered materials to construct and raise TSF embankments.

Depending on your operating experience, duties will include:

• Excavation, loading and hauling of engineered materials
• TSF embankment construction and lift raising
• Bulk earthworks and material placement
• Supporting cut-to-fill operations
• Building, trimming and maintaining embankments
• Working alongside excavator, dozer and haulage crews
• Maintaining safe and efficient haul routes and work areas
• Conducting pre-start inspections and reporting defects
• Working within TSF methodology, QA/QC requirements and hold points
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, equipment care and production targets

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you will need:

• Proven experience operating one or more of the listed machines in a mining, civil or bulk earthworks environment
• Demonstrated experience on the specific equipment you are applying to operate
• Construction Induction – White Card
• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and mask fit test
• Strong safety focus and commitment to equipment care
• Good communication and ability to work within a team
• Ability to work a 2:1 day/night roster
• Current Australian working rights

Experience working on TSFs, dams, bulk earthworks or large-scale civil construction projects will be highly regarded.

Experience working within engineered fill placement and QA/QC environments will also be advantageous.
