Job highlights

• Experience with Nokia AirScale 5G hardware installation and commissioning, skilled in fiber OTDR, PIM, and VSWR testing
• Conduct site surveys, oversee hardware installation, perform commissioning and network integration, execute quality assurance tests, and manage site handover

1. Site Deployment & Hardware Installation

• Conduct Technical Site Surveys (TSSR) and structural/power assessments to confirm site readiness for 5G overlay or swap.
• Oversee and direct Authorized Service Providers (ASPs / Sub-contractors) during physical installation of Nokia AirScale 5G hardware, Active Antenna Units (AAUs / Massive MIMO 32T32R/64T64R), and Baseband units.
• Verify fiber routing, eCPRI interfaces, power connections, RF cabling, and antenna azimuth/tilt adjustments according to Nokia and Airtel RF engineering guidelines.

2. Commissioning & Network Integration

• Perform onsite and remote commissioning of Nokia 5G AirScale gNodeBs using Nokia BTS Site Manager and WebEM.
• Execute 5G Non-Standalone (NSA EN-DC) parameters integration, locking 4G anchor bands with 5G NR carriers (n78 / 3300MHz and n28 / 700MHz).
• Configure transmission parameters, VLANs, and IP/MPLS transport links to achieve successful node connectivity with Airtels Core / NMS platforms.
• Perform software upgrades, hardware swaps, and initial site troubleshooting.

3. Quality Assurance, Testing & Site Handover

• Perform fiber OTDR testing, PIM testing, and VSWR sweep tests using SiteMaster equipment before powering up active radio units.
• Conduct drive tests, single site location tests (SSLT), throughput speed tests (DL/UL), latency checks, and handover verification.
• Facilitate formal Acceptance Testing (AT / PAT) with Bharti Airtel’s circle quality teams.
• Track, manage, and rectify punch-list / quality observation items to ensure seamless handover to the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team
