About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SEO & AEO Manager to lead and execute organic search strategies across traditional search engines and AI-driven platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), content strategy, technical SEO, and AI search visibility.

The candidate will be responsible for improving website rankings, organic traffic, search visibility, and brand presence across search engines and AI platforms such as Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy & Management

• Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with client/business objectives.
• Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, SERP analysis, and search intent analysis.
• Manage on-page, off-page, and technical SEO activities.
• Optimize website structure, content, internal linking, metadata, URLs, and other on-page elements.
• Identify technical SEO issues and coordinate with developers to implement fixes.
• Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, conversions, backlinks, and overall SEO performance.
• Develop and execute link-building and digital PR strategies.
• Conduct regular SEO audits and prepare actionable recommendations.

AEO – Answer Engine Optimization

• Develop and implement AEO strategies to improve visibility in AI-generated answers and answer engines.
• Optimize content for featured snippets, People Also Ask, zero-click searches, and conversational queries.
• Identify question-based and long-tail search opportunities based on user intent.
• Structure content to improve its ability to be understood and surfaced by search engines and AI platforms.
• Work on FAQ, schema markup, structured content, entity optimization, and topical authority.
• Track brand and content visibility across AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude.
• Develop strategies to improve brand mentions, citations, and recommendations within AI-driven search experiences.
• Stay updated with developments in AI Search, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), LLM SEO, and search algorithm updates.

Team & Client Management

• Lead and mentor SEO/AEO executives and specialists.
• Assign tasks, monitor deliverables, and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Review SEO strategies, audits, reports, and recommendations prepared by the team.
• Communicate directly with clients to understand requirements, provide updates, and present performance reports.
• Coordinate with content, development, social media, design, and other internal teams.
• Ensure campaigns are executed within defined timelines and quality standards.

Reporting & Analytics

• Monitor and analyze SEO and AEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and other relevant platforms.
• Prepare monthly/weekly performance reports with insights and actionable recommendations.
• Analyze traffic, rankings, CTR, conversions, visibility, backlinks, and competitor performance.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and growth.

Required Skills

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in SEO, preferably with digital marketing agencies.
• Strong understanding of AEO, GEO, AI SEO, LLM SEO, and Generative Search.
• Strong knowledge of technical, on-page, and off-page SEO.
• Expertise in keyword research, competitor analysis, search intent, and content optimization.
• Knowledge of Schema Markup, Structured Data, E-E-A-T, Core Web Vitals, and technical SEO.
• Experience with Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and similar tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team.
• Strong understanding of current search engine and AI search trends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience working with multiple clients or digital marketing agencies.
• Experience with AI search optimization, LLM visibility, entity SEO, and knowledge graphs will be an added advantage.
• Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEO, or relevant digital marketing platforms are a plus.
