SEO Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented SEO Specialist to improve website visibility, increase organic traffic, and strengthen search engine performance.

The ideal candidate understands both on-page and technical SEO, is comfortable conducting keyword and competitor research, and can turn SEO data into clear, actionable improvements. You should be able to work independently, identify opportunities proactively, and track the impact of your work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve organic rankings and traffic
• Conduct keyword research and identify new ranking opportunities
• Optimize website pages, titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, and content
• Perform technical SEO audits and identify issues affecting website performance
• Monitor indexing, crawlability, site structure, redirects, broken links, and page speed
• Conduct competitor and SERP analysis
• Develop content recommendations based on search intent and keyword opportunities
• Work with writers, designers, and developers to implement SEO improvements
• Build and improve internal linking strategies
• Identify backlink and off-page SEO opportunities
• Monitor rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and other SEO KPIs
• Use Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEO tools to analyze performance
• Prepare regular SEO reports and recommend next steps
• Stay current with Google algorithm updates and SEO best practices

Requirements

• Proven experience in SEO or a similar digital marketing role
• Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO
• Experience with keyword research and competitor analysis
• Familiarity with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or similar platforms
• Understanding of WordPress and website content management
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot common technical SEO issues
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Proactive approach to identifying problems and opportunities
• Must be available to work 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM EST, Monday–Friday

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience improving rankings and organic traffic for existing websites
• Experience with local SEO
• Understanding of basic HTML/CSS
• Experience with WordPress and Elementor
• Knowledge of backlink analysis and link-building strategies
• Experience creating SEO content briefs
• Familiarity with conversion optimization and website analytics
