Software Engineer – Java / Spring Boot / GCP - 100% Remote (Brazil)

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript/JavaScript, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in microservices architecture, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve high-scale software applications.
• Build cloud-native solutions using serverless computing, microservices architecture, and modern engineering practices.
• Develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Design and implement scalable microservices using GCP SDKs and GKE/Kubernetes.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments using Jenkins, Helm, and Terraform.
• Integrate applications with internal infrastructure, Data Fabric, and existing systems.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and globally distributed engineering teams.
• Participate in architecture discussions, sprint planning, retrospectives, and roadmap development.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with:
• Core Java and Spring Boot
• TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Cloud platforms: GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Cloud-native application development and microservices architecture
• GCP SDKs and GKE/Kubernetes
• Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Helm, and Terraform

Preferred Skills

• Experience with big data technologies: Dataflow/Apache Beam, Bigtable, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), and Composer/Airflow.
• UI development experience with Angular and Bootstrap.
• Knowledge of Java/J2EE, SOA, Git/GitHub, SVN, Maven, and Gradle.
• Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum and XP.
• Familiarity with SQL Server, MySQL, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Automated testing experience with JUnit, Selenium, LoadRunner, or SoapUI.
• Modern JDK experience and cloud certifications are preferred.
