DPCS Designee

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a DPCS Designee (Director of Patient Care Services Designee) for our hospice agency.

The DPCS Designee will provide clinical leadership and serve as the designated backup to the Director of Patient Care Services when needed. We are looking for someone who is dependable, knowledgeable in hospice regulations, and experienced in clinical supervision or management.

Responsibilities include:

• Serve as DPCS Designee when the DPCS is unavailable
• Assist with oversight of hospice clinical services
• Support and supervise clinical staff as needed
• Ensure patient care is provided according to the plan of care
• Review clinical documentation for completeness and compliance
• Assist with Medicare, CDPH, and hospice regulatory compliance
• Support RN case managers and interdisciplinary team members
• Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement activities
• Help prepare for surveys, audits, and regulatory reviews
• Ensure continuity and quality of patient care

Qualifications:

• Current and active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Hospice or home health experience required
• Must meet California requirements to serve as a DPCS/DPCS Designee
• Strong supervisory or management experience in hospice or home health
• Knowledge of Medicare hospice requirements and California regulations
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Candidates with previous experience as a DPCS, DPCS Designee, Director of Nursing, Clinical Manager, RN Supervisor, or Hospice Clinical Supervisor are highly encouraged to apply.

Position: Part-Time / Per Diem / On-Call
