Truck driver

We are looking to hire a truck driver to join our company. We hauling Portland cement in pneumatic tanks to the ready mixes in Houston and surrounding areas. Always sleep at home. Work hours varies from day to day. CDL-A must be minimum 2 years old or insurance won't accept you, no exemptions.

Duties

• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations
• Load & unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety procedures for manual handling and truck loading/unloading processes

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving across diverse environments
• Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations
• Skilled in operating various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, and flatbed trucks
• Ability to navigate using GPS systems effectively for both local deliveries and long-haul routes
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record;

Pay: $200.00 - $400.00 per day
