Network Administrator/Engineer

Our client, SAIC, is seeking a Network Administrator/Engineer to support USTRANSCOM's

IT Service Management efforts at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois.

Logistics

• Location: Scott Air Force Base, IL

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, normal business hours

• Onsite: 5 days per week

• Clearance: Active Secret required

• TS/SCI: Ability to obtain and maintain

• Employment: Full-time

Role Overview

The Network Administrator/Engineer will support the operation, maintenance,

troubleshooting, and modernization of USTRANSCOM's network infrastructure in a secure

DoD environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure.

• Support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and network

connectivity.

• Manage IP addressing, VLANs, DNS, VPNs, and network services.

• Work with routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.

• Monitor network performance and availability.

• Troubleshoot network outages and connectivity issues.

• Support network upgrades and infrastructure changes.

• Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and configurations.

• Respond to incidents and provide after-action support.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 4 years of experience OR Master's degree + 3 years.

• Active Secret clearance.

• IAT Level II certification such as Security+, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP, etc.

• Relevant Computing Environment (CE) certification.

• DoD network experience.

• Experience with routing, switching, OSPF, BGP, IPv6, VPNs, and WAN environments.

• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
