About the Role

Villa Terenzio is seeking an enthusiastic, and passionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our care team.

• Reporting to the Residential Services Manager, the Physiotherapy Assistant will be responsible for supporting an enthusiastic Clinical Team.
• Assist Physiotherapist in assessment of Resident’s functional mobility.
• Interact with the Residents and their families in a friendly, helpful and positive manner
• Liaise and program plan with the Physiotherapist.
• Educate and support other team members regarding the promotion of independence and mobility programmes.
• Demonstrate the ability to develop and contribute to positive morale within the organisation
• Contributes to an efficient and effective caring service within the organisation

What do you need?

As a collaborative compassionate member of the team, ideally with experience within the health and/or aged care sector you will have:

• Previous experience in aged care is essential.
• Certificate III/IV Allied Health Assistant.
• Demonstrated experience as Physiotherapy Assistant with knowledge and competency in providing a range of therapeutic interventions/activities.
• Excellent time management skills.
• An outgoing and friendly personality.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations.
• The skills to be adaptable to suit the needs of the residents.
• A current National Police Clearance (not older than 6 months) and a visa with working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
• Covid Vaccination and Current Flu Vaccine are required for this role.
