Position Overview

CaviaSoft Ltda. is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing activities, supplier relationships, sourcing processes, and procurement documentation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying reliable suppliers, obtaining competitive pricing, negotiating commercial terms, monitoring purchase orders, and ensuring that goods and services are acquired efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day procurement and purchasing activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with qualified suppliers.
• Request and analyze quotations, bids, and supplier proposals.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and service conditions.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and procurement documentation.
• Monitor purchase orders from placement through delivery and resolution of issues.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, delivery, and service.
• Maintain accurate supplier records, contracts, quotations, and purchasing documentation.
• Identify cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with finance, operations, technology, project-management, and other internal teams.
• Ensure purchased goods and services meet established quality and technical specifications.
• Resolve purchasing, delivery, invoice, and supplier-performance issues.
• Support contract negotiations and supplier agreements when required.
• Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and supplier availability.
• Ensure procurement activities follow internal policies and applicable Chilean requirements.
• Prepare procurement reports, spending analyses, and supplier-performance updates for management.
• Support strategic sourcing and procurement planning initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supply-chain management, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, purchasing procedures, and cost management.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple purchasing activities simultaneously.
• Experience preparing and reviewing purchase orders, quotations, contracts, and procurement documentation.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement, ERP, or purchasing systems.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of confidentiality and appropriate handling of commercial and supplier information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting technology, SaaS, agribusiness, manufacturing, logistics, or other business-to-business environments.
• Experience procuring software, hardware, IT services, cloud services, or technical equipment.
• Knowledge of Chilean procurement practices and commercial requirements.
• Experience with ERP or procurement platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent systems.
• Experience with strategic sourcing and supplier-development programs.
• Familiarity with international procurement, imports, and logistics.
• Professional procurement or supply-chain certification such as CIPS, CSCP, CPSM, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of contract management and vendor-risk assessment.
• Experience using procurement analytics and spend-management tools.
• Professional-level English is an advantage for working with international technology and software suppliers.
