Accountant

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, this role will be responsible for delivering key month-end accounting activities and supporting a range of financial processes to ensure the accuracy, integrity and timely completion of financial reporting requirements.

This is a hands-on role that will see you working closely with finance and operational stakeholders, contributing to robust financial controls and supporting both operational and statutory reporting obligations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Fixed asset accounting and reconciliations
• Revenue accounting and journal preparation
• Bank journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Completion of pre-ledger and post-ledger close activities
• Maintaining clear and audit-ready working papers
• GST calculations and reporting across the group
• Supporting financial control and compliance processes

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven accounting experience within a medium to large organisation
• Strong month-end accounting and reconciliation experience
• Advanced Excel capability and confidence using financial systems
• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field
