About the Role

Zerozilla Infotech Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliance, taxation, payroll coordination and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in GST, TDS, Professional Tax (PT), Provident Fund (PF), bank reconciliation, vendor payments and monthly financial closure, preferably in an IT or software services company.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting entries, journals, ledgers and general books of accounts.

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor payments and customer collections.

• Perform bank reconciliation and maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, expense reports and other financial reports.

• Prepare and coordinate GST returns, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, and reconcile purchase records with GSTR-2B.

• Manage TDS calculations, deposits, quarterly returns and TDS certificates.

• Handle Professional Tax deductions, payments and applicable returns.

• Coordinate PF calculations, employee and employer contributions, ECR filing and statutory payments.

• Coordinate monthly payroll with HR, including salary deductions, reimbursements and full-and-final settlements.

• Monitor client invoices, outstanding receivables and vendor payments.

• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial closures.

• Coordinate with Chartered Accountants and statutory auditors.

• Maintain audit-ready records of invoices, returns, challans, bank statements and financial documents.

• Support budgeting, cash-flow tracking and other finance-related activities.

  Key Performance Indicators

• Timely filing and payment of applicable statutory dues.

• Accuracy of GST, TDS, PT and PF calculations and returns.

• Timely completion of bank and ledger reconciliations.

• Accurate monthly accounting closure and financial reporting.

• Correct payroll accounting and statutory deductions.

• Effective tracking of customer receivables and vendor payables.

• Maintenance of complete and audit-ready financial documentation.

• Minimum errors in accounting entries, reconciliations and statutory filings.

  Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• Com, M.Com or an equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.

• 4 5 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Practical knowledge of GST, TDS, Professional Tax and PF compliance .

• Hands-on experience with Tally Prime, Zoho Books, Busy or similar accounting software .

• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, lookups and reconciliations.

• Experience in payroll accounting, bank reconciliation and financial reporting.

• Ability to independently manage routine accounting operations and statutory deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

  Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in an IT, software development, digital marketing or IT staffing company.

• Familiarity with service-based business accounting, client billing and vendor management.

• Exposure to domestic and international invoicing and foreign-currency transactions.

• Ability to coordinate with HR, Sales, Delivery, Management and external auditors.

• High integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information.
