Accounts Executive

Job Summary

We’re seeking an Accounts Executive to manage daily accounting and finance functions, ensuring accurate financial records, timely month-end and year-end closings, and effective use of SAP and other IT tools to support business operations and reporting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including submitting consolidation packages to ensure accurate and timely financial completion

Perform daily accounting tasks such as managing receivables and payables, general ledger entries, tax calculations, and bank reconciliations

Enter accurate and timely financial data into the SAP system to maintain data integrity

Maintain precise financial records and statements for internal and external use

Prepare weekly cash flow reports to support financial planning

Prepare quarterly GST submissions in compliance with regulatory requirements

Send monthly statements of account to customers and follow up on collections to optimize cash flow

Prepare quarterly financial forecasts and annual budgets to guide business strategy

Support audit and tax queries by providing necessary documentation and explanations

Liaise with banks to manage banking transactions efficiently

Manage timely closing processes and reconciliations, including intercompany transactions, to ensure accurate financial reporting

Retrieve and analyze system reports from accounting software for management decision-making

Utilize relevant IT systems and tools effectively to perform data analysis and enhance reporting accuracy

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Diploma in Accounting & Finance or equivalent qualification

At least 3 years of experience in accounting and finance roles

Strong understanding of accounting principles to ensure compliance and accuracy

Ability to work independently with high accuracy and efficiency in a dynamic environment

Experience with SAP accounting software is advantageous
