Application Engineer - CFD

We are looking for enthusiastic freshers with a strong interest in building a career in the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) domain. Candidates should be eager to learn, work on real-world engineering problems, and grow with the organization.

Job Description / Roles & Responsibilities:

• Set up and execute CFD simulations for thermal and fluid flow analysis using Ansys Fluent/CFX.
• Perform geometry cleanup and meshing for complex components and assemblies.
• Analyze simulation results and prepare technical reports with clear insights and recommendations.
• Validate simulation results against experimental data or analytical calculations.
• Stay updated with latest CFD methodologies and best practices.

Skills (Must have):

• CFD Tools: ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS CFX, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM (basic proficiency).
• Meshing Tools: ANSYS Meshing, ICEM CFD, Pointwise, HyperMesh. CAD Tools: SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar for geometry preparation.
• Numerical Methods: Finite Volume Method (FVM), discretization techniques, convergence criteria.
• Physics Knowledge: Turbulence modeling (RANS, LES), Heat Transfer (conduction, convection, radiation), Multiphase flow basics.
• Boundary Conditions & Solver Settings: Understanding of inlet/outlet conditions, wall functions, residual monitoring.
• Post-Processing: Visualization and data extraction using CFD-Post, ParaView, Tecplot.
• Programming & Automation: Python, MATLAB for scripting and data analysis; familiarity with C++ is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact with customers effectively.

Skills (Optional):

• Programming or scripting skills (Python, MATLAB, or similar) are a plus.
