Key Responsibilities

1. GST Compliance & Filings

• Manage multi-state GST compliance frameworks across retail channels.
• Oversee the timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-8 (e-commerce), and GSTR-9/9C.
• Execute 3-way reconciliations across Sales Registers vs. GSTR-1, Purchase Registers vs. GSTR-2B, and ERP ledger balances to optimize Input Tax Credit (ITC) utilization.
• Monitor e-Way bill issuance, e-invoicing workflows, and GST rates.

2. Direct Tax & Regulatory Compliances

• Oversee end-to-end Direct Tax, including monthly TDS/TCS deduction, deposit, quarterly return filings (Form 26Q/27Q), and annual Form 16/16A issuance.
• Assist in annual Tax Audits (Form 3CD), corporate tax computations, advance tax forecasting, and tax provision reviews in coordination with statutory auditors.

3. Litigation & Dispute Resolution

• Draft robust technical replies to Show Cause Notices (SCNs), audit inquiries, assessment orders, and notices from State/Central GST authorities.
• Represent the company before tax officers, appellate authorities, and auditors during assessments, proceedings, and personal hearings.
• Partner with external legal counsel, tax advisors, and consultants for high-stakes litigation, appeals, and legal opinions.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in Indirect Taxation.
• Technical Skills: Strong mastery of GST laws, legal drafting, ITC reconciliation methodologies, TDS/TCS provisions, and advanced Excel. Hands-on exposure to SAP is required.
