Highwork Height Technician

We are currently looking for a dedicated Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various projects by performing a range of manual tasks on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of construction sites before the commencement of a project

• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at the job site

• Operate hand and power tools to complete tasks as assigned by the supervisor

• Clean and maintain work areas to ensure safety and organization

• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform duties effectively and efficiently

• Safely access the installation location may invlove using an elevated work platform or installing a temporary lifeline system or anchor points

• Install fall protection system components to specifications

• Install cables and associated components to specifications

• Coordinate with other trades to ensure that concrete pours are completed to specification

• Inspect fall protection systems and asscociated cpmponents for any deficiencies

• Remove from service fall protection systems that are unsafe for use

• Dismantle fall proteciton systems

Competencies:

• Proven experience in performing physical labor on construction sites

• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions

• Familiarity with basic hand tools and equipment used in construction projects

• Understanding of safety protocols and procedures on job sites

• Previous experience in operating heavy machinery or equipment

• Knowledge of basic construction techniques and materials

• Lifting and rigging

• Operating elevated working equipment

• Assembling steel structures

• Understanding clearance principles of fall protection systems
