Physics Teacher – English Medium

Job Purpose: To deliver high-quality Physics instruction across the relevant grade levels in accordance with the MOE curriculum, developing students' conceptual understanding, problem-solving and practical skills, and preparing them for MOE assessments and examinations.

Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English, with the ability to teach Physics through the medium of English.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver Physics lessons in line with the MOE curriculum framework, scope and sequence, and assessment standards.
• Design and supervise safe, well-structured Physics practical sessions and experiments, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols.
• Develop students' mathematical reasoning, numeracy and problem-solving skills, making clear links between Mathematics and Physics concepts.
• Prepare students for MOE examinations and any relevant standardized assessments, including targeted revision and exam-technique support.
• Develop and mark formative and summative assessments; analyze results to inform planning and intervention.
• Maintain accurate records of student attainment, attendance and behaviour, and report on progress to parents and school leadership.
• Differentiate instruction to support students of varying abilities, including gifted/talented students and those requiring additional support.
• Maintain Physics laboratory equipment and resources in a safe and organized condition, in line with school H&S policy.
• Collaborate with the Science Department on curriculum mapping, common assessments, moderation and department action plans.
• Participate in departmental meetings, CPD, science and mathematics competitions and other school events.
• Ensure compliance with KHDA and MOE regulations relating to curriculum delivery, safeguarding and assessment.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Science Education or a closely related field (Education qualification/PGCE an advantage).
• Minimum 2–3 years' teaching experience in Physics and Mathematics, preferably within an MOE curriculum school.
• Valid UAE Teacher's License or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong subject knowledge across the MOE Physics and Mathematics syllabi and familiarity with practical/laboratory requirements.
• Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English, with the ability to teach Physics through the medium of English.
