Tax intern

Bhupesh Khurpia & Associates is a law and tax consultancy firm based in Bhopal, specialising in GST & Inocme Tax litigation, advisory, and indirect taxation. We represent clients before GST authorities and appellate forums across Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. This internship offers students a rare opportunity to work on live GST cases under direct mentorship from a practising advocate and tax consultant.

What you will do:

• Read and understand GST Show Cause Notices, demand orders, and audit reports issued by GST authorities
• Assist in reconciling GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GSTR-2A/2B figures with client records
• Assist in basic tax calculations — ITC workings, demand quantification, and interest computations under guidance
• Support drafting of SCN replies, written submissions, and appeal documents under supervision
• Work on the GST portal — downloading notices, tracking orders, and basic portal navigation
• Prepare MS Excel sheets for computation and data organisation tasks
• Maintain and organise case files, deadlines, and client documentation

Who should apply

• Currently pursuing or recently completed B.Com/ M.Com/ LLB / MBA
• Basic awareness of GST — its structure, returns, and common provisions (formal experience not required)
• Basic working knowledge of MS Excel
• Good reading and writing ability in Hindi and English
• Sincere, punctual, and eager to learn in a professional environment
