2. GST Reconciliation & Input Tax Credit
- Perform detailed GSTR-2A / 2B reconciliation with books of accounts on a monthly basis.

- Manage ITC reversals under Rule 42/43 and ensure compliance with blocked credits under Section 17(5).
- Maintain GST registers and input credit ledger with accurate and updated records.
- Handle GST refund applications for export / zero-rated supplies and track processing with authorities.
3. TDS Compliance & Deduction
- Ensure accurate and timely TDS deduction on all applicable payments as per the Income Tax Act.
- Review vendor payments, salary disbursements, and professional fees for correct TDS applicability and rates.
- Deposit TDS challans within prescribed due dates and maintain deduction registers.
- Issue Form 16 (salary) and Form 16A (non-salary) to deductees within statutory timelines.
4. TDS Reconciliation & Returns
- Prepare and file quarterly TDS returns – Form 24Q (salary) and Form 26Q (non-salary) – without defaults.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of TDS payable with the books of accounts and TRACES records.
- Resolve TDS defaults, short deductions, and interest demands raised by the department.
- Monitor Form 26AS / AIS for all deductees and reconcile with books to flag discrepancies.
5. Tax Liaising & Department Coordination
- Act as the primary liaison with GST and Income Tax authorities for notices, assessments, and scrutiny.
- Draft and submit replies to GST SCN (Show Cause Notices) and income tax demand notices.
- Coordinate with the company's external CA / tax consultant for advisory, litigation, and filings.
- Represent the company during GST audits, departmental inspections, and assessment proceedings.
- Follow up proactively on pending refunds, rectification requests, and appeal matters.
6. Financial Statements & Accounting Standards
- Review financial statements to ensure proper tax provisioning, deferred tax computation, and disclosure.
- Apply knowledge of Ind AS / IGAAP to validate tax-related accounting entries and reporting.
- Support the Finance Controller in preparing tax notes and disclosures for the annual accounts.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors on tax-related queries and schedules during audit.
