Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Murex Developer – Datamart Reporting to join our technology team in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will specialize in Murex Datamart reporting, supporting the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of reporting solutions for treasury and capital markets operations.

This role requires close collaboration with business users, risk and finance teams, analysts, and technical stakeholders to deliver accurate, scalable, and high-performing reporting solutions within the Murex ecosystem.

Contract and Location

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Murex Datamart reporting solutions.
• Support data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, and reporting processes for treasury and trading systems.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and reporting scripts across Oracle and SQL Server environments.
• Gather reporting requirements from business users and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve reporting, data-quality, reconciliation, and performance issues.
• Support batch processing, scheduling, report generation, and production operations.
• Develop automation scripts and utilities using Java and Python where required.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance with operational standards.
• Participate in system upgrades, testing, release deployments, and implementation activities.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization for large-scale reporting environments.
• Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, support guides, and reporting specifications.
• Provide production support and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and deliver enhancements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 6–9 years of experience in Murex development, reporting, or related financial technology environments.
• Expert-level hands-on experience with Murex Datamart Reporting.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including query development, stored procedures, data analysis, and performance optimization.
• Practical experience with Oracle and SQL Server 2012 databases.
• Programming experience with Java and Python.
• Strong Linux skills, including scripting and production support activities.
• Familiarity with Windows Server 2012 environments.
• Experience with financial systems reporting, data processing, and reconciliation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with business users, analysts, finance teams, risk teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Good communication, coordination, and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in treasury, risk management, or capital markets systems.
• Knowledge of financial products, including foreign exchange, FX derivatives, interest-rate derivatives, fixed income, and money-market products.
• Exposure to ETL processes, data warehousing, and reporting automation.
• Familiarity with enterprise reporting tools and batch scheduling platforms.
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, testing, and production support processes.
• Experience supporting Murex upgrades, releases, and data migrations.
• Knowledge of performance tuning in high-volume reporting environments.
