Safety/WSH Coordinator

Job Description / Responsibilities

Monitor and ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, company safety policies and site safety requirements.

Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices and potential risks.

Assist in preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and other safety documentation.

Conduct daily toolbox meetings, safety briefings and worker safety inductions.

Monitor workers' compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe working practices.

Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors and subcontractors to ensure safe site operations.

Assist in investigating workplace accidents, incidents and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records and other WSH documentation.

Assist with MOM inspections, safety audits and implementation of corrective actions.

Perform other safety-related duties assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

Possess a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or other accepted qualification for WSH Coordinator duties.

Minimum 2 years of relevant construction site safety experience.

Familiar with Singapore WSH regulations and construction safety requirements.

Knowledge of Risk Assessment, Safe Work Procedures and Permit-to-Work systems.

Experience in civil engineering, earthworks, excavation or marine construction projects will be an advantage.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Able to work independently and coordinate with site personnel.

Willing to work at different project sites when required.
