Job Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Company’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures and programmes across HQ office and project sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure effective control measures are in place.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, relevant regulations, Codes of Practice and client requirements.
• Monitor high-risk construction activities and ensure safe work procedures and Permit-to-Work requirements are properly implemented.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents and near misses, identify root causes and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, WSH training and safety awareness programmes for employees and site personnel.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors and workers to address WSH issues and improve site safety standards.
• Follow up on safety observations, inspection findings and corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
• Maintain and update WSH documentation, records, inspection reports and statutory submissions where applicable.
• Assist in emergency preparedness, drills and response activities.
• Promote a strong safety-first culture and continuous improvement in WSH performance across the organisation.
• Perform any other WSH-related duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Workplace Safety and Health, Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Registered as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
• Relevant experience in the construction or civil engineering industry will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation, regulations and industry practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently as well as effectively with project and site teams.
• Proactive, responsible and committed to maintaining high safety standards.
• Willing to travel to various project sites as required.
