• Bachelor of Engineering/ Masters in Computer Science (OR) any equivalent degree
• 4 – 6 years of experience

Job Overview

Responsible for validating Android platform-level customizations and ensuring compatibility, stability, and compliance using CTS and advanced automation frameworks

Primary Skills

• Deep expertise in Android internals, AOSP builds
• Experience in Embedded board bring up with Android
• Experience analyzing and fixing CTS failures
• Experience testing embedded Android devices / handhelds / IoT devices with solid understanding of hardware-software interaction.
• Programming skills in C++, Java/Kotlin and/or Python .
• Experience with Android test frameworks: JUnit, Instrumentation, UI Automator, Espresso
• Experience building custom automation frameworks for devices with familiarity towards ADB, Fastboot, Logcat, Dumpsys

Good to have Skills

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Experience integrating automated tests into pipelines.
• Knowledge of performance testing and profiling tools

Responsibilities and Duties

• Validation of AOSP customizations including framework, HAL in embedded target platform
• Develop automation testing for: Platform-level testing, device-level integration testing
• Analyze and triage CTS (Compatibility Test Suite) failures and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with CTS, VTS, and GTS requirements where applicable.
• Build scalable CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution on physical devices.
• Drive test coverage improvements, including functional, regression, performance, and stability testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Android system developers, firmware teams etc.,).
• Monitor & track quality metrics, release readiness, and risk assessments.
