Job Description & Skill Requirement:
Required Education Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
Master's degree preferred.
Experience
7+ years of experience in power systems, energy storage, renewable integration, utility, or data center infrastructure projects.
Direct experience with utility-scale or industrial BESS systems.
Experience integrating BESS with generators, medium-voltage distribution systems, or microgrids.
Experience reviewing EPC and vendor design packages.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of:
o Battery technologies and degradation mechanisms
o Power conversion systems (PCS)
o Medium-voltage electrical systems
o Protection and control systems
o Power system modeling and stability
o Energy management systems
o Grid-forming and grid-following inverters
o Reliability and availability engineering
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes applicable to BESS installations.
Preferred Experience
AI data center power infrastructure.
Behind-the-meter power generation systems.
Gas engine power generation integration.
Microgrids and islanded power systems.
IEC 61850 and digital substation technologies.
Power system simulation tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, or equivalent.
